Jury Agrees That Asbestos Exposure Was Not Significant

Plaintiff argued that his lung cancer was caused by exposure to asbestos while serving on board ship in the Navy and that a 20-year history of cigarette smoking was not a contributing factor.   After a two-month trial, the jury agreed with defense counsel John Brydon that the plaintiff's lung cancer was caused by cigarette smoking and that his exposure to asbestos had been minimal and found for the defense.
