Owens Corning Not Liable in Multi-Million Dollar Asbestos Claims

Five workers sued Owens Corning, alleging that exposure to the defendant's products had resulted in asbestosis, cancer, and other asbestos-related diseases.   During a six-month trial, defense counsel Edward Hugo was able to show that the injuries were not asbestos related and, even if they were, the defendant's products were not a contributing factor.   Plaintiffs had been demanding $2 million each, but the jury returned a finding for defense in every instance.
