Plaintiff, whose car was rearended by defendant, claimed that her degenerative back condition was a result of the accident.    After careful analysis of medical records, defense counsel John Brydon was able to show that the plaintiff had had two prior traumas to her back and that plaintiff's attempt to link her injuries to the accident was speculation.    Plaintiff asked the jury for $550,000 - the defense had offered $20,000 prior to trial.    The jury awarded plaintiff $5,316.
