George Otstott is a Senior Associate in Brydon Hugo & Parker's San Francisco office.    He joined the firm in December 2005, leaving Ericksen, Arbuthnot, Kilduff, Day & Lindstrom as a partner after eight years.    Mr. Otstott's practice includes the defense of national commercial trucking and truck rental companies.    He also has many years of experience defending clients in personal injury, premises liability, construction defect/contract, asbestos, and medical malpractice/elder abuse cases.

Mr. Otstott began his career in insurance defense representing auto accident and truck accident defendants insured by various carriers.    He has since represented a wide range of trucking companies, van companies, and truck rental companies in multiple California jurisdictions over the last 10 years.    He has had the opportunity to satisfy an equally diverse range of client needs, including defense of catastrophic injury cases, large property claims, and negligent hiring causes of action in trucking cases on behalf of insured and self-insured entities.    Representative clients include: Aramark Services, Inc., Ryder Truck Co., American Linen, Inc., Budget Rent A Car and VPSI, Inc.

Mr. Otstott is licensed to practice in all California State Courts and in the U.S. District Court, Northern District of California.    Originally from Dallas, Texas, Mr. Otstott received his BBA in General Business from Southern Methodist University in 1991.    He earned his JD in 1995 from the University of San Francisco School of Law, where he was a Staff Editor then Comments Editor of the University of San Francisco Law Review.    He earned Academic Honors and received the Moot Court Best Brief Award.    He is a member of the Defense Research Institute, the Bar Association of San Francisco, and the Product Liability Section of the California State Bar.
