THOMAS J. MOSES
Senior Counsel
 
Thomas J. Moses is a Senior Counsel with Brydon, Hugo & Parker, and has extensive experience in all aspects of litigation and appellate work. Mr. Moses’ current practice focuses primarily on the defense of asbestos cases, as well as casualty cases (automobile, premises liability and commercial claims), and insurance bad faith and coverage litigation.

Prior to joining Brydon Hugo & Parker, Mr. Moses was Claims Counsel with XL Insurance America, Inc., an international property-casualty carrier, and was also in the General Counsel’s office of TIG Insurance Company, a major commercial/personal lines insurer based in Texas.

He was also an Adjunct Professor of Law at Texas Wesleyan University School of Law in Fort Worth, Texas, from 2001 to 2006, teaching Insurance Law. He will continue to teach Insurance Law, starting in Fall 2006, as an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of San Francisco School of Law.

From 1984 to 1992, he was an attorney with a Long Beach, California insurance defense firm, where he represented various insurance carriers in a variety of cases, including insurance bad faith matters, uninsured motorist claims, and premises liability litigation.

Mr. Moses earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from California State University Long Beach in 1981, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa upon graduation. He earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence from McGeorge School of Law (University of the Pacific) in Sacramento, California in 1984, graduating Order of the Coif. He was also an Associate Legislative Editor and a published student author for the Pacific Law Review.    Mr. Moses has been licensed as an attorney in California since 1984, and in Texas since 1995.
