Tara-Jane Flynn originally came to Brydon Hugo & Parker from Burke Williams & Sorensen in 2003.   With eight years of experience in defending national corporations against product liability claims, she has expanded her practice to focus on transportation matters.   Coming from a trucking background and as an active member of state and national transportation associations, Ms. Flynn has a first hand understanding of the impact of the current economic climate on trucking companies and keeps abreast of business and legal struggles facing the industry today.   Presently, she represents national transportation clients servicing LTL, truckload, rental/leasing and dedicated markets.   She also has experience in premises liability, general tort liability, environmental law, and criminal law.

Ms. Flynn earned her B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley in 1997 with honors from the Prytnean Women’s Honor Society and her J.D. from University of San Francisco in 2001.   She was admitted to the California Bar in 2001 and is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

Ms. Flynn has volunteered her time working for the San Francisco District Attorney’s office mediating consumer and landlord/tenant disputes as well as worked for the Los Angeles County Public Defender in the misdemeanor and felony divisions.   She did pro bono work for the Special Rapporteur on Environmental Mandates at fifty-sixth session of the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland.   Ms. Flynn volunteers her free time to the Boys & Girls Club and Junior League.
