JOSETTE D. JOHNSON
Litigation Associate
Josette D. Johnson is a litigation associate with Brydon Hugo & Parker. She was admitted to the Massachusetts bar in 1997 and the California bar in 1998. Ms. Johnson focuses her work on the defense of toxic tort claims in general, particularly asbestos and silica personal injury and wrongful death claims.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Johnson practiced with Knox Ricksen, where her practice areas included toxic tort, personal injury, landlord tenant disputes, insurance defense and general civil litigation, as well as appellate work. In addition, Ms. Johnson has defended public entities in personal injury and civil rights actions and has acted as a contract attorney for private law firms. She has also provided services to Legal Aid of the Central Coast, assisting clients in marital dissolution matters.
Ms. Johnson earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from California State University, Fresno in 1993. She earned her Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law in 1997, where she concentrated on Business Organizations and Finance Law and was an instructor for the First Year Ethics Program, a student representative for the West Bar Review and an advisor and faculty liaison for the First Year Student Advisor Program.
