George A. Otstott is a Senior Associate in Brydon Hugo & Parker’s San Francisco office.   Mr. Otstott has extensive civil litigation expertise in various areas, including:  toxic tort and product liability, catastrophic personal injury, construction site accidents, complex construction defect, contract, delay and mold cases, medical malpractice and Elder Abuse, trucking/auto casualty cases including negligent hiring claims, and premises liability.

Beginning his career in auto accident litigation on behalf of insurance defense clients, Mr. Otstott has represented a wide range of auto and trucking companies, van companies, and rental car/truck companies in multiple California jurisdictions over the last 14 years, including insured and self-insured entities.

He has successfully defended general contractors and sub-contractors in his years of practice in the Bay Area, including one binding arbitration with damages of $10 million alleged against his client, and has successfully defended a licensed nurse in a wrongful death plastic surgery binding arbitration against a respected San Francisco plaintiff’s personal injury firm with claimed damages of over $1 million.   He is a certified lecturer in construction defect and coverage law as well as auto/trucking litigation.

Mr. Otstott is admitted to practice in all State courts in California and Texas, as well as the U.S. District Court, Northern District of California, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal. Originally from Dallas, Texas, Mr. Otstott received his BBA in General Business from Southern Methodist University in 1991.   He earned his JD in 1995 from the University of San Francisco School of Law, where he served as Comments Editor of the University of San Francisco Law Review.   He received Academic Honors and the Moot Court Best Brief Award.   He is a member of the Bar Association of San Francisco and the Defense Research Institute.
