Donna L. Maul is a litigation partner in the firm. She handles all aspects of discovery, motion practice, trial and appeal for products and premises liability cases.

She has primary case management responsibility for coordinating the defense of asbestos mass tort litigation throughout California for major dental products distributors and automobile and auto parts manufacturers.

Ms. Maul gained significant trial and appellate experience while in private practice as a criminal defense attorney in Washington, D.C. She was an associate with Pond, North and Hugo, PC, joining that firm's eventual merger with Burke Williams & Sorensen.

Ms. Maul received a Bachelors in Music in Opera Performance, with distinction, from the University of Michigan Ann Arbor in 1977, and a Masters of Arts in Music, with high distinction, from Eastern Michigan University in 1982. While in graduate school, she worked as a teaching fellow and performed with the faculty quartet.

In 1992, Ms. Maul received her J.D. from Rutgers University, Newark, New Jersey where she was a member of the Moot Court Board, a supervisory student in the Constitutional Litigation Clinic, and a teaching fellow in Legal Research and Writing. During 1991-92, she served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable John J. Farley III, U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims, Washington D.C.

She is admitted to practice in California, Washington D.C. and New Jersey and the United States District Courts for the Northern, Central, Eastern and Southern Districts of California, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States District Court in New Jersey and the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims, Washington, D.C.
